You are not getting good results with your Derma roller ??? check your Derma roller's needles' tip shape.
As i mention in my intro, i bought a derma roller, which has 540 needles, on ebay at a price of $20. I am not quite happy with it. I recently ordered a different one with 192 needles which i heard is a lot better because if the needles are to closely they do not punch holes in the skin, they just injured the upper layer of skin as if you were bruised. For better results, the needles has to penetrate the skin and i believe you have to bleed, contrarily to what other people are saying because when you bleed your skin will repair itself. By just rolling over with no bleeding, you are just working on the upper skin layer and your scars will still stay the same if the needle did not penetrate inside to force your body to heal the injury created by its penetration.
While patiently waiting for my new derma roller to arrive, i was examining the one i already have and realized that the needles' tips were not pointed but they were flat, which means they will never puncture hole in my skin but just bruised it even if i apply pressure. That's what you basically get when you buy a cheap stuffs. My lack of experience about derma roller has lead to this. It was $20 and i know some might say there are cheaper than that but believe they are not effective. They are too many fake derma roller and you will not know it until you buy it and look at it closely. So beware guys..Avoid buying the cheap ones which look like the one is posted below.. you could see how the needles are close. So one would not notice what kind of needles they have.
In short, the amount of needles is not only a concern in a derma roller but the type of needle and the shape of its tip. Flat-shaped tip will leave you bruises, and even if you press hard it wont get into your skin especially if you have 540 needles close together. For those who does not understand what i am talking about just think of the ritual where people sleep on a bed of nails and they still dont get hurt when pressure is applied on them because the pressure is spread out on the needles but when you diminish the needles it starts to hurt more because the pressure is spread on lesser needle. So that is basically the same thing with more needles, you have to press harder but there is only some extent to which u can press.
